My  friend  Kenar,  just died of cancer.

She often said, “I have cancer, I choose to do nothing. Cancer may kill me, but it will NEVER take away my freedom to be alive.” As I type such words, I can only imagine how many stomachs may churn, because this choice is NOT how we have been taught to exercise our ‘treatment’ options. If you are ready to pounce on me for posting this, or believe Kenar’s decision to be irresponsible, or disturbing, I invite you to read www.mumsnothavingchemo.com “Q&A with Phillip Day.”

To Will? Or to Will Not?
Here is Kenar’s story:

She was only 36. I only met her a little over a year ago. She became one of my closest friends in Los Angeles.  She came to me for what I thought was help except, at the time I failed to understand that it was support, not help that she was seeking… So kept offering her cancer treatment options; I could get her an appointment with Dr. Simone in Boston, or Dr. Burzinski in Texas. When she went to Turkey for closure,  I urged her to try apricot pits,as I remembered a powerful conversation with a speaker at the Health Freedom Expo, about how her usage of them cured her breast cancer. A mutual friend had an infa-red sauna and I sent her the mumsnothavingchemo link about the infa- red sauna cancer treatment.  I told her about Laura Bond and “mum’ and felt  www.mumsnothavingchecmo.com  would help her to know that she had options.  Kenar read the blogs weekly, she was open to organic juice and vitamin C injections but never did anything. At my urging she bought Seth David Chernoff’s cancer book, and Vaishali’s book “You Are What You Love,” and always thanked me for my kindness and friendship…

Farmers Rally On Capitol Hill To Condemn FDA Raid on Amish Farmer Dan Allgyer’s Dairy Farm

WASHINGTON  – (May 16th, 2011) A Rally on Capitol Hill was held today in honor of Dan Allgyer, an Amish farmer from Kinzers, Pennsylvania who has seemingly become an enemy of the state—not because he is a violent man; not because he performs acts that threaten the lives or property of others; not because he is involved in some plot to overthrow the government, but because he dared to sell unpasteurized milk.

The FDA spent a year investigating Dan and entrapping him. Investigators in FDA’s Baltimore District Office posed as customers.  They placed 23 orders for Dan’s unpasteurized milk.  They spent tens of thousands of tax dollars —all to prosecute a dairy farmer.

On April 20, 2010, two black SUVs with dark tinted windows meandered down the long dirt road that leads to Dan’s Rainbow Acres Farm, then a federal agent appeared. “Where do you keep the milk?” he asked.  Dan showed him. The agents inspected Dan’s portable coolers and walk-in cooler/freezer.  Ah ha, there it was—the contraband they were after: Fresh milk!

The government proceeds against Dan not because the raw milk he sells is contaminated.  The government proceeds against him because his milk is unpasteurized.  No proof exists that Dan’s milk is unfit for human consumption.  No proof exists that anyone who ever consumed Dan’s milk became ill.

“Unpasteurized milk has been consumed safely for thousands of years.  So long as it comes from healthy cows, is kept refrigerated, and is consumed before expiration, it is a healthy food. Every year thousands of Americans become ill from listeria, salmonella, and e. coli from PASTEURIZED milk and milk products.  Safety depends on proper handling, storage, and use,” states Jonathan W. Emord, attorney for Grass Fed on the Hill, which includes consumers of Allgyer’s dairy products.

Against a backdrop of increasing public demand for raw milk, and with raw milk at places like Whole Foods market, FDA banned the sale of unpasteurized milk in interstate commerce.  That ban applies without need for FDA to prove unpasteurized milk contaminated. Under FDA’s regulation, those who sell safe unpasteurized milk are treated equally with those who sell unsafe unpasteurized milk: They are all condemned as law violators.
